Broadband Politics: Still protesting the Viet Nam war

    I consider myself a Progressive on social issues, but I have no stomach for these hypocrites who hide behind the shield of our overwhelming military power and excuse the actions of terrorists.

    Sure, the US hasn't always been on the "right" side of every conflict, but that is in large part because there is no "right" side. All parties involved in most conflicts are acting only out of totally amoral self-interest.

    What Barbara Lee and her kind want is something out of a chivalrous fairy tale to justify the use of force. What they fail to realize is that, given a chance, our enemies today would do the same to us as all the other genocidal monsters did to their victims in the past. They don't need the excuses offered by the apologists.
